We're Still Here

Streets Over Retreat

The sky's been red for days, I've been counting my escapes like prayer beads.

Every siren in the distance feels like déjà vu,

But I'm still choosing the streets over retreat.

I've got ghosts that follow in my shadow,

I've got nights that try to pull me under slow.

But there's a light I keep just past the fear,

It burns in colors they can't control.

We run on hope and adrenaline,

Every heartbeat's a drum we believe in.

We're still here, yeah, we're still here,

And every time they try to close the door,

We find another way to break the floor.

I've stood in lines where the air was heavy,

Every breath felt like a final stand.

Now I'm learning how to plant my courage steady,

And grow something wild from the damage in my hands.

We run on hope and adrenaline,

Every heartbeat's a drum we believe in.

We're still here, yeah, we're still here,

And every time they try to close the door,

We find another way to break the floor.

Oh-oh-oh, we're still here, still breathing,

Oh-oh-oh, and we're not leaving.
