Fire and Fury

Our Own Gravity

Felt like I was driftin', just a ghost out in the static

A broken satellite with a signal gone erratic

The world was spinning one way, I was spinning in another

Lookin' for a friendly system, or a sister, or a brother.

We make our own gravity, a different kind of pull

In a world that tries to scatter us, we make each other whole

They can't break our orbit, can't escape our atmosphere

'Cause all my rebels and my riders are standing right here.

They talk about their family trees, their legacies and roots

We're just a bunch of wild seeds in dusty, worn-out boots

We found each other in the wreckage, made of broken, mismatched parts

And built a stronger union out of all our broken hearts.

We make our own gravity, a different kind of pull

In a world that tries to scatter us, we make each other whole

They can't break our orbit, can't escape our atmosphere

'Cause all my rebels and my riders are standing right here.

So let the whole world spin away into the great unknown

We've got our own true north right here, a place to call our home

This bond is the only law I'm ever gonna know

The only faith that matters is the one that helps you grow.

We make our own gravity, a different kind of pull

In a world that tries to scatter us, we make each other whole

They can't break our orbit, can't escape our atmosphere

'Cause all my rebels and my riders are standing right here.
